You matter. Your needs matter. Let's start there.
Hi, I'm Andrea
I'm a therapist in Toronto
I help big-hearted people find more balance in life
Do you have a big-heart?
You put others first, and worry if you're a "people-pleaser"
You feel the weight of the world on your shoulders
You agonize over decisions and their impact
Rejection feels life-altering
You can't shake seeing people not do the right thing
Tears come easily
You wish everyone could just get along, but can also relate to snapping when the pressure gets too much
We can agree it's not all sunshine and rainbows being a caring person?Let's work on making your big-heart shine brighter

Therapy That Gets You
Especially If You’re Used to Feeling Misunderstood
No fixing, No judgement - just a time to be curious about yourself and consider what would make you feel "more you"
Bring Your Whole Self
Messy Parts Included
My approach is "relational", which means that creating a relationship with you comes first. I integrate the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach; also called "parts work". It's somewhat easy to pick up because we often already use the language: "a part of me feels this way, but another part of me feels that way".Come to therapy as you are - a nuanced and complicated human being with many parts of you
Big Hearts Burn Out Too
Sensitive people are more likely to burn out—but you probably know that firsthand.Yes, I’m the smiley gal in the photos, and yes, I do love what I do NOW. I’ve also been stressed while in high-pressure worlds: marketing, law firms, Type A teams—and I know how painful it is to give your all to work that just doesn’t fit.If you're feeling the weight of burnout (or trying to avoid it), let’s explore where it comes from—and how we can shift things together.

Areas of Focus
My areas of specialty come from 6 years of post-MSW experience, along with my love of reading and going down rabbit holes to develop keen interests. I attended University of Toronto for a Masters of Social Work. If you're looking for a specialist in these areas, we may be a great fit:
Trauma (IFS, Internal Family Systems, tends to work well with developmental, relational trauma)
Anxiety
Relationships (keeping love alive, transitions, and break-ups)
Depression
ADHD*
Neurodiversity-affirming
Queer-affirming
Burnout from work and/or from being misunderstood
Sex therapy (currently in progress of training with ASTO)
Grief and Loss
*the commonly known term, but it's not an ideal term, so you may have your own term to describe your uniqueness
